2N EasyGate IP - GSM Lift emergency telephones line - Low line rental - £9.98 per month2N 4G EasyGate IP - Emergency Lift Phone Line gateway. With the introduction of fixed Digital lines only being installed from the 5th of September 2023 you can no longer have a copper line. Most block Management companies and residents' associations are not prepared or do not have the funds to replace a Lift autodialler. So we have a GSM telephone line replacement gateway service, specifically designed for the use with existing lift units, called 2N Easygate IP, and can normally be shipped normally within 48/72 working hours. We can also ship directly to your lift maintenance provider if you so wish, all without the need for Openreach to install any infrastructure. Once you have received the Eastgate IP unit your lift manatiance provider will just need to connect this to the lift auto dialler fly lead via a lead provided. We would still recommend you check with your lift provider that the current lift unit is digital compatible.
2N EasyGate IP Network Lift Emergency Telephone line £338 + VAT
The 2N EasyGate Lift unit is designed for effortless Plug & Play installation. Simply connect it to a power source and use the included cable to link your lift autodialer-no complex setup required.
For telephone service, you can choose between VoIP, a SIM card, or a combination of both for maximum flexibility. The EasyGate Lift is compatible with all four major UK mobile networks-Vodafone, O2, EE, and Three-giving you multiple SIM options. We recommend positioning the unit as high as possible, avoiding installation on the lift car itself. However, the unit does come with a magnetic antenna with a long lead, allowing you to test it in different locations.
Each EasyGate IP unit, VoIP service, and SIM card undergo rigorous testing before shipping, ensuring it’s ready for immediate use. To enhance security, call barring is automatically enabled, blocking international calls, premium-rate numbers, personal numbers, and UK special service numbers starting with 084 and 087. You can also choose to block calls to mobile numbers, though premium-rate number barring cannot be removed.
Battery backup included The 2N EasyGate IP remains operational during a power outage. Its backup battery ensures the gateway continues to function, allowing users in the lift to call for help at any time while maintaining compliance with legal standards compliance with the legal standards.

Some lift providers may claim, "We use special SIM cards specifically designed for lift shafts and their operating environment." However, a SIM card is just a SIM card—don’t be misled into thinking otherwise. These claims are often used to push you toward the lift maintenance provider’s system, which can be costly and tied to long-term contracts The division of duty for Digital lift lines The division of duty is clear Under Ofcom regulations.
- The lift alarm hardware and maintenance falls to the lift company.
- While the EasyGate and battery backup are the responsibility of the lift owner.
- The lift owner must check that the lift equipment is Digital Line compatible for the use with Digital Voice lines
- The battery backup should be tested every 3/6 months
Under Ofcom regulations, the responsibility for maintaining the GSM gateway and battery backup falls to the lift owner, not the underlying digital line provider. It is the lift owner's duty to ensure the battery backup is regularly tested, either directly or through a third-party maintenance contract.
If a fault is reported against the service, it is the lift owner's responsibility to ensure that the EasyGate and/or battery backup are both online. We can also check this remotely. If the unit is offline, it must be manually rebooted before requesting assistance.
EasyGate IP units are highly reliable with minimal potential for failure. However, the battery backup will require replacement every 18 to 24 months. For more details, please refer to our UPS backup solution at the bottom of this page.

Giving us time to complete the necessary checks before for we agree to provide a service. 2N® Elevator Centre cloud service monitoring ∆ ∆ - Included if a call plan is taken with the unit at the time of purchase.
If you purchase an EasyGate without a call plan, you can apply for and set up your own account with 2N. Please note that we are unable to do this on your behalf.
Monitor Connected Devices The 2N system provides real-time insights into your gateway’s mobile network registration, signal strength, and power status—whether it’s running on primary or backup power. If your unit uses one of our VoIP telephone services, we continuously monitor the line to ensure it remains registered with us. The 2N system automatically checks in approximately every 60 minutes.
Firmware Updates Keeping your EasyGate IP up to date is effortless. With just a click, we can remotely update your unit to the latest firmware version. Before proceeding, we will always consult with you to ensure a seamless update process.
A Secure, Verified Platform Your data security is our priority. All data transfers are fully encrypted and protected. The 2N® Elevator Center operates as part of the My2N platform, which has maintained uninterrupted service since 2016.
What if I think I have a fault There is very little that can go wrong, and the EasyGate IP units are highly reliable. If you suspect an issue, the first step is to drop us an email if we are monitoring the unit for you. If we cannot see the unit, we will ask you to reboot it and then check if it comes back online.
Please note that this is NOT an Openreach service, so no engineer can be sent. Even if one could, the only thing to check would be whether the router is online. Nearly 99% of issues are caused by either the router’s power being accidentally disconnected by a third party or the connection between the router and the lift unit being mistakenly unplugged.
Before reaching out, please ensure you have reviewed our "Division of Duty for Digital Lift Lines" information. How long will it take to send the EasyGate unit to site? The EasyGate IP unit is typically dispatched within 48 to 72 working hours after we receive your order and set up the direct debit. If you have chosen the unit without a telephone or SIM service, delivery may be faster.
For deliveries to residential addresses, additional ID checks are required, and we may request further information before processing your order.
Installation must be carried out by your lift maintenance provider, who will connect and test the services before signing off. If the unit includes a service from us, installation usually takes around five minutes How long will it take to hand over a site to a new owner? The service contract is non-transferable and non-assignable. If you notify us of your intent to terminate the agreement or that you have transferred management of the site/address and are no longer responsible for line rental payments, the service(s) will be disconnected immediately.
If the new owners wish to take over the service, they must contact us at least 14 days before you give notice to terminate your contract. This allows us sufficient time to complete the necessary checks before agreeing to provide the service.
Please note that we do not contact the new owners on your behalf. They must reach out to us directly to request a service transfer. What payment methods do you except? We only accept Direct Debit for monthly service payments. Alternatively, line rental can be paid annually in advance, but please note this payment is non-refundable. If you plan to transfer the site during this period, keep this in mind. Our Direct Debits are collected around the 15th of each month and are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority as an Authorized Payment Institution. Your payments are protected by the Direct Debit guarantee. You can set up Direct Debits directly through our website or via email—no need to fill out paper mandates or mail them back. Payments made via Direct Debit are subject to status and may require a soft credit check for businesses or a hard credit check for individuals. I cant set up a Direct Debit, how can I pay? If you're unable to set up a direct debit for the service, you can opt to pay for 13 months in advance. Please note that this payment is non-refundable, so it's important to consider if you're planning to transfer ownership of the site during this period. A change in ownership and account will be treated as a new connection. We bill one full calendar month in advance, meaning your first annual invoice will cover 13 months.
The service contract is non-transferable and non-assignable. If you inform us that you've transferred management of the site/address and are no longer responsible for the line rental or call payments, the new owner will need to apply for a new service contract. This is considered a termination of the original contract and service. We require a monthly Invoice to be uploaded through our suppler portal. Can you do this? Unfortunately, not. We have thousands of customers, and the resources needed for us to upload invoices through/into third party invoicing management portals is impractical and time consuming. If this is a requirement, then we are not the right company for you. Package Contents:

That increase is based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) Rate of inflation which is published in January each year plus 3.9% Billing monthly charges for services You will be charged rental from the day Simple Telecommunications Ltd supply the service. All chargeable services are paid in advance. The first invoice will show a charge for the whole month in which the invoice is issued and for the whole of the following calendar month. (2 whole months.) This advance payment means you'll have covered your 30-day notice period for cancellation, allowing us to terminate your service/s for you the same day you notify us should it become necessary. It will also include the part month during which the service went live with us. Services are provided subject to status and or credit check. To safeguard against "Bill Shock" All accounts also have a credit limit for chargeable calls. Once this limit has been reached your service may be restriucted until the following billing period. What happens if I cancel my Direct Debit? Your Direct Debit is linked to your service. So a live Direct Debit must be in place at all times. If a Direct Debit is cancelled our system will automatically suspend the services, and a charge of £7.50 made to reinstate the DD. If no new Direct Debit is in place within 14 working days the system will send a termination notice to you of the disconnection of the service/s completely. If you pay yearly, and fail to pay within the payment period, then the same would apply as above. I cant set up a Direct Debit, how can I pay? If you are unable to set up a direct debit for the service you can Pay 12 months advance, however this is a non-refundable payment. So something to consider if you are looking to hand the site over within this period. We bill one clear calendar month in advance. So your fist yearly invoice will be for 13 months. Credit Limit and Credit Checks As with ALL providers, when you apply for any telephone or Broadband service contract with us we will perform a credit check on the business and/or the bill payer if different. This will involve a credit reference agency to confirm your identity/s. They'll also examine financial records and borrowing history. Using this information provided by the credit-rating agency, which in our case is Creditsafe. We will then make a decision whether to accept you for the contract/service you’ve applied for. This decision is made solely by our credit-checking team based on the information from Creditsafe. A credit check is ONLY performed once a direct Debit has been set up with us, as this is regarded as an acceptance of our terms and conditions, and intent to apply for a service. If your credit rating prevents you from getting a contract from us we may offer a tailored solution for businesses with bad credit. If your application is accepted a credit limit will be placed on the account for any chargeable calls. This safeguards our customers from running up a large bill. Call spend Warnings can be set up within our online billing system, and we strongly recommend this is done, but in reality a lift line is very really used, so this should not be a problem. Please note. Who is CreditSafe? - Creditsafe, are global intelligence experts, specialise in business and consumer credit checking, and is the world's most used provider of online credit reports. Your credit history is checked by CreditSafe. If you have any questions about your credit file you'll need to speak directly to CreditSafe. Battery Backup run time** Backup time will vary depending on the condition of the batteries and the temperature of the environment where the unit is located. Bench testing has shown approximately 3 to 4 hours of backup time, which exceeds the Ofcom guidelines. |
